homemade cheese & bacon rolls | recipe
Make, freeze, pack in the lunchbox. No spreading, no filling, no cutting, no defrosting needed. A super tasty lunch that's ready to go!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 280 grams warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 480 grams bakers flour
- 1 teaspoon bread improver
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg, lightly whisked
- Grated cheese
- Diced bacon or ham pieces
Thermomix Method:
- Place yeast and warm water in the bowl, mix 20 seconds, speed 4
- Add salt, flour, bread improver, oil and mix for 5 seconds, speed 7
- Then 3 minutes, knead function
- Transfer into oiled bowl, cover and leave to prove for 1 hour or until mixture has almost tripled in size
- Work the dough into 6-12 rolls and place onto tray, almost touching
- Leave rolls to prove for another 30 minutes or until doubled in size
- Score the top of each roll with a knife
- Brush with egg wash, and top with cheese then bacon (or ham)
- Bake in 180 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden
