thermomix tomato paste | recipe
Five ingredients. No unknown ingredients. Make and freeze, no waste. We always have this in our freezer - save money and make your own!
Ingredients:
- 1kg tomatoes
- 20g olive oil
- 1 tbs oregano (or any other dried herb)
- 1 handful fresh herbs (I use basil or parsley or mix of both)
- 10g rock salt
Method:
- Cut the tomatoes into quarters and put in thermomix bowl
- Add all other ingredients
- Mix speed 10 seconds, speed 8
- Scrape down sides
- Cook 30 minutes, veroma, speed 1, using steaming basket in place of measuring up
- Scrape down sides
- Cook further 10 mins, veroma, speed 1, using steaming basket in place of measuring cup
- Scrape down sides
- Blitz 1 minute, speed 9
- Allow to cool and freeze in single-serve portions for easy use
